  They fluff and scuttle over a sandy path, picking up grit.

  A squirrel digs a small hole, drops an acorn, pats down the soil, and looks around.

  A fluffy white pup squirms on the sand below the dunes as the cows shuffle and call around it.

Rare visitors

Not here most of the time, but November is when these can turn up: Waxwing, glossy ibis, yellow-browed warbler, grey phalarope and white-tailed eagle.
